Product Overview

This Circlip Chamfering Machine is a custom-built, OEM edge-finishing solution for C-type retaining rings (circlips / snap rings). We design and build it to match the customer's actual ring size, wire diameter, and production output — not a one-size-fits-all catalog model.

It uses two wet-type grinding heads to simultaneously chamfer and deburr both cut ends of a stamped or wire-formed circlip, removing sharp burrs and creating a smooth lead-in radius for easy installation. Parts are fed through automatically on a belt conveyor, and finished rings are ejected by a pneumatic air jet. The wet grinding system prevents edge burning and extends wheel life; the stainless steel wet section resists corrosion from coolant.

Every unit is tailored to the workpiece drawings or sample parts supplied by the customer.

Working Principle

Operator places raw circlips onto the infeed belt in orientation.

Belt carries the ring under the two grinding heads.

Both cut ends are chamfered and deburring in one pass, with coolant flushing the grinding area.

Finished rings exit the outfeed chute and are ejected by a short pneumatic blast.

Collection bin receives finished parts — consistent edge quality on every piece.
